Glaucoma is a group of diseases characterized by characteristic optic nerve atrophy and visual field defects, which can be classified into three types: primary, secondary and congenital. Symptoms of patients are mainly eye distension, eye pain, vision loss, headache and other uncomfortable symptoms. 1. Primary: It is also divided into primary closed-angle glaucoma and primary open-angle glaucoma. Primary closed-angle glaucoma patients’ atrial angle for drainage of aqueous humor is closed, so it cannot play the function of drainage, and the patients may have symptoms such as severe eye distension, headache, sharply reduced visual acuity, eyeballs as hard as stone, conjunctival congestion, drowsiness and pain, insomnia, and increased blood pressure, etc. The patients may also have symptoms of eye distension, eye pain, decreased visual acuity, headache and other discomfort. On the other hand, primary open-angle glaucoma patients’ atrial angle of aqueous drainage is open, but there is no normal drainage function, patients’ discomfort symptoms are not obvious, and patients may have symptoms such as soreness and swelling of the root of the nose. 2. Secondary: secondary glaucoma refers to the glaucoma caused by eye diseases, medicines or systemic diseases, patients may have symptoms such as elevated intraocular pressure, eye swelling, headache and other symptoms, and may also be accompanied by nausea, vomiting and other symptoms. 3. Congenital: Congenital glaucoma is caused by abnormal development of the anterior chamber angle or residual embryonic tissues during fetal development, so that the trabecular meshwork-Schlemm’s canal system can’t play the function of effective aqueous drainage, and the patients can experience eye dilation, corneal clouding, eye distension and other uncomfortable symptoms. It is recommended that glaucoma patients go to the hospital in time to assess their condition and follow the doctor’s instructions for treatment.
