How long does it take for herpes to clear up with acyclovir cream

Herpes is generally classified as herpes simplex and herpes zoster. Acyclovir cream is usually used for a period of 1 week. Herpes simplex is caused by herpes simplex virus infection and is prone to recurrence. The main manifestations are erythema and blisters on the skin and mucous membranes, with occasional mild itching and painful discomfort. The treatment plan is mainly based on antiviral treatment, and acyclovir cream is a topical antiviral drug, which is usually cured in about 1 week of treatment. Herpes zoster is caused by varicella-zoster virus infection, mainly manifesting as erythema and blisters in a band-like distribution, with paroxysmal pinprick-like pain. In addition to topical acyclovir cream, treatment must be combined with oral or intravenous antiviral drugs and so on. The course of treatment is also usually about 1 week. During herpes, you should pay attention to a light diet, while strengthening nutrition, pay attention to the protection of local skin, avoid co-infection with bacteria, and avoid contact with water until healed. At the same time, herpes simplex is prone to recurrence, so you should pay attention to proper exercise to enhance immunity and reduce recurrence.
