The main ingredients of Pediatric Qing Qiao Granules are honeysuckle, forsythia, dazhou leaf, santalum root, firewood, licorice, etc. It has the efficacy of dispersing wind and clearing away heat, detoxifying and relieving pharynx, and subduing swelling and relieving pain.
It can be clinically used for milky moth (related to tonsillitis in western medicine) caused by wind-heat attacking the lungs, with symptoms such as malignant cold (fear of cold) and fever, redness, swelling and pain in the pharynx, exacerbated by swallowing, dry and burning pharynx, and redness and swelling of the throat nucleus; and also used for acute tonsillitis in children with the above symptoms.
