Scars caused by falls cannot be completely eliminated once they appear, and various treatments can only improve the appearance of the scar. At present, the main treatments for scarring are drugs, photoelectricity and surgery.
1. Drugs: The drug treatment for scars includes topical anti-scar medication to inhibit scar proliferation and glucocorticoid for intra-scar injection. For scars higher than the skin, Kelo-cote Scar Gel or Heparin Sodium Gel can be used to rub the affected area; for scars lower than the skin, Growth Factor Gel can be used.
2. Photoelectric treatment: At present, carbon dioxide fractional laser, erbium laser and other photoelectric treatments are commonly used to deal with scarring, which can improve the appearance of scarring by peeling off and stimulating the local collagen regeneration and rearranging, but it usually requires several treatments to achieve the desired effect.
3. Surgery: If the scar is obvious and affects the appearance or function, and the conservative treatment is ineffective for a long period of time, the proliferating scar tissue can be removed through surgery and then reduced suture. However, surgery is an invasive operation, and there is a risk of re-formation of hyperplastic scar, and after the operation, you need to follow the doctor’s instructions to standardize the anti-scar treatment.
If there is a need to remove the scar, it is recommended to go to a regular hospital, and the use of drugs should be under the guidance of a specialist.
