Why is there a ball of flesh inside the jaw that can move?

The jaw, also known as the chin, can be rolled if you can feel a ball of flesh on the chin, and most consider it to be a lymph node problem. When inflammation occurs in the lymph nodes of the jaw, they can become enlarged and swollen, and most patients will experience pain when they press on them. In addition, diseases such as lymphoma, lymph node hyperplasia, and lymphatic tuberculosis may present with a meatball inside the jaw. When the body’s organs are infected by bacteria or viruses, these bacteria or viruses will reach the area of the lymph nodes with the lymphatic fluid, causing swelling and pain in the lymph nodes. When you have a tumor, the tumor cells will also metastasize along the lymphatic vessels, causing the lymph nodes to become enlarged. When a meatball is found in the jaw, a hospital visit is needed for imaging and, if necessary, a puncture biopsy.
