Nano-acupressure combined with cervical traction for cervical spondylosis

Cervical spondylosis is a common and frequent disease, which is the abbreviation of cervical degenerative spondylosis. It is caused by cervical degenerative disc disease, cervical spine osteophytes and cervical injury, resulting in neck, shoulder and back pain, stiffness and numbness of upper limbs. All 80 cases were outpatient and inpatient cases in the rehabilitation department of our hospital from October 2009 to October 2010, of which 45 were male and 35 were female, the youngest was 29 years old and the oldest was 69 years old, the shortest duration was 3 days and the longest was 10 years, all cases were diagnosed by X-ray or MRI of cervical spine, and the positive and lateral double oblique films of cervical spine suggested: abnormal physiological curvature, osteophytes at the vertebral body margin, osteophytes at the hook vertebral joint, and cervical traction. In all cases, the diagnosis was confirmed by X-ray or cervical MRI. MRI of cervical spine: cervical 3/4/5/6/7 intervertebral disc protrusion to the posterior median. Second, the treatment method (1) mechanical traction: way: using intermittent traction: traction force, not more than 1/8 of body weight is appropriate, usually 6kg to start, the time and course of 20 minutes / time, once a day, serious condition 2 times a day, 10 days for a course of treatment. (2) Acupuncture point dressing: nano-acupuncture point dressing is used. Selection of acupuncture points: different cervical spine (C3-7) with acupuncture points: dazhi and shoulder well are used according to different parts of cervical spine lesions. Third, the efficacy assessment is performed in accordance with the efficacy standards for cervical spondylosis in the Diagnostic and Efficacy Standards for Chinese Medicine. Cured: the original symptoms of each type disappear, the muscle strength is normal, the neck and limb functions return to normal, and the patient can participate in normal labor and work. Improvement: The original symptoms of each type are reduced, the pain of neck, shoulder and back is reduced, and the function of neck and limb is improved. Not cured: No improvement of symptoms. IV. Treatment results According to the above efficacy assessment, among the 80 cases in this group, 62 cases were cured, accounting for 77.5%, 16 cases were improved, accounting for 20%, and 2 cases were invalid, accounting for 2.5%. V. Typical case The patient Hu, female, 67 years old, was admitted to the hospital on June 12, 2010, because of “recurrent neck pain for 10 years, aggravated with numbness of the left upper limb for 2 days”. He was treated with Gua Sha, topical ointment, rubbing wind chasing oil, oral Chinese medicine, etc., and had no effect. 2 days ago, he developed neck pain again, accompanied by numbness of the left upper limb. Posterior median protrusion. The diagnosis was cervical spondylosis, neurogenic type. After traction, nano-acupressure was applied to the cervical 3, 4, 5, 6 and 7 intervertebral discs alternately, and to the large spine and shoulder well alternately. After 5 days of treatment, the numbness of the left upper limb was not obvious and the pain in the neck was significantly reduced. The above treatment was continued and after 15 days, there was no obvious pain in the neck. He was able to work normally. Most of the treatments for cervical spondylosis adopt comprehensive treatment, and cervical spine traction therapy is the most basic method for treating cervical spondylosis. The functions of traction are: (1) expanding the intervertebral space, reducing the internal pressure of the intervertebral disc, promoting the retraction of the bulging disc or the return of the protruding disc, and stretching the distorted vertebral artery. (2) Dilate the intervertebral foramen to relieve nerve root irritation and compression. (3) Relieve muscle spasm. (4) Release small joint impingement. The use of traction alone does not provide significant early relief for patients with significant pain, so nano-acupressure is added to the treatment. Nano-acupressure is a kind of external acupuncture point paste that uses far infrared rays radiated by nano-ceramic materials at constant room temperature to stimulate meridians and acupuncture points, generating thermal effects to increase the temperature of local subcutaneous tissues and promote blood circulation, thus unblocking the meridians and channels, activating blood circulation and resolving blood stasis, regulating qi and relieving pain. The general drug acupuncture point paste is suitable for the treatment of three volt days, most of the drugs used in acupuncture point paste have skin irritation, easy to produce blisters after treatment. Easy to cause skin infection, and some patients will have allergic skin symptoms, adhere to the treatment requires a certain degree of perseverance. The use of nano-acupressure avoids allergies and infections and is easily accepted by patients. Because of its main component of blood exhaustion, the effect of blood activation and pain relief is fast. There is no time or seasonal restriction on its use.
