Long term asthma treatment for long term peace?

Bronchial asthma is a chronic disease, even a lifelong disease. Although it cannot be completely cured so far, we can control asthma effectively and live, work and study like normal people as long as we adhere to standardized treatment and necessary prevention. The key here is to cooperate with the doctor to insist on assessing the level of asthma control and standardizing the treatment in order to achieve a cyclic process of asthma control, monitoring the disease and maintaining asthma control. Even when asthma is well controlled, you should not blindly reduce or even stop the medication by yourself, but gradually reduce the dosage under the guidance of your doctor (so-called step therapy). For the control of asthma should have confidence, but also patience and persistence, not one exposure to ten cold, to fight a protracted war, long-term peace and coexistence with asthma, long-term treatment in order to long-term peace, rather than usually not treated, the attack when temporary hold the Buddha’s feet. Learn to adapt to asthma. Many asthma patients will inevitably feel nervous when they are diagnosed with asthma, thinking that this is bad and that they will be wheezing for the rest of their lives, or that they will have to use medication for the rest of their lives. From the diagnosis to the start of treatment and even to continue long-term treatment, there is bound to be a relatively long period of psychological and physiological adaptation process in between, and it will slowly get better. During this process, we should strengthen our study and learn some scientific knowledge about bronchial asthma, and if necessary, we can also ask our doctors for advice and communicate with other old patients, so that we will soon adapt to the “role” change process. Asthma relief is not the same as the disappearance of airway inflammation. Modern medicine believes that the essence of bronchial asthma is airway allergic inflammation and that chronic airway inflammation is the basis for the development of asthma. Therefore, it is emphasized that in the whole process of asthma prevention and treatment, the control of airway inflammation should be given priority and should be carried out throughout the whole process of asthma treatment, and this should not be neglected even during the remission period of asthma. Currently, the drugs used to treat asthma are divided into two main types, relief drugs and inflammation control drugs. The latter include various forms of glucocorticoids (referred to as hormones), leukotriene modulators, and theophyllines, of which hormones are the most commonly used, the most effective, and therefore the most important. Since most oral and intravenous hormone drips were used to treat asthma in the past, there were more adverse effects. Therefore, many asthma patients are afraid of hormones and have a lot of concerns about the use of drugs. In the past ten years or so, hormones have been applied clinically by inhalation method, and the dosage is significantly lower than oral and intravenous dosage. Since inhaled drugs can quickly and directly reach the lesion site (airway mucosa), the effect is fast and significant, and the adverse effects of hormones are greatly reduced, which makes long-term application of hormones possible. Therefore, asthma patients can use hormones without worrying too much about their adverse reactions. There is no scientific basis for “prescriptions” to cure asthma. In the process of treating asthma, especially some old patients, it is easy to listen to other people’s legends or learn some methods from some irresponsible media, and try some “partial prescriptions” and “ancestral secret recipes”, spending a lot of money and wasting a lot of time, with the result that The disease is not cured, but on the contrary, the worse the treatment. We must believe in science and dispel all kinds of superstitions, and we must not trust any prescriptions or recipes without scientific basis. The Global Asthma Prevention and Control Strategy (GINA) and the bronchial asthma prevention and control program developed in China have clearly recommended asthma treatment programs and drugs, and we should trust the scientific programs recommended by doctors. Stress can trigger asthma. At present, bronchial asthma is considered to be a psychosomatic disease, in other words, maintaining a good state of mind has a very important role in asthma treatment. There are many asthma patients who have a heavy mental burden and emotional instability due to long-term uncontrolled asthma or severe symptoms during attacks, and such tension and mental factors are also the cause of triggering asthma attacks. Asthma patients should usually maintain a good state of mind, learn to adjust and control their psychological state, avoid the influence of various adverse factors on the psychological state; usually less angry, less worry, optimistic, learn to comfort themselves and resolve conflicts. Asthma control is actually a systematic project, avoid contact with allergens, reduce colds and flu to achieve the goal of preventing asthma attacks; work out a long-term treatment plan with your doctor, receive regular follow-up visits and adjust the treatment plan according to the effect of your condition; insist on physical exercise; reasonable nutrition, avoid eating foods that may trigger asthma, but not choking and not daring to eat anything, or even cause nutritional imbalance.
