Can you do tonsil stone cleaning yourself?

Self-cleaning of tonsil stones is not recommended to avoid increased risk of injury, infection and bleeding.
Tonsil stones are mostly found in the upper crypts of the tonsils, where small foreign bodies, shed epithelial cells or caseous material formed by bacteria accumulate, and inorganic salts such as calcium and magnesium, which are not easily dissolved, are further deposited to form stones.
When cleaned up by yourself, the operation space is small, the pharyngeal reflex is sensitive, not easy to operate, may by lead to breakage of the tissues around the stone, causing bleeding, thus increasing the risk of infection, and if cleaned up inappropriately, it will lead to inflammation of the tonsils.
If you have tonsil stones, you can go to the hospital, under the advice of a professional doctor for treatment.
