A common treatment for female umbilical ureteral cysts is through surgery. Umbilical ureteral cysts are generally due to the accumulation of epithelial secretions or shed cells and debris in the lumen of the umbilical ureter during the development of the infant to form traces of tissue, and patients can undergo ultrasound to confirm the diagnosis and see if they have an umbilical ureteral cyst. If the ultrasound shows a mass in the deep part of the abdominal wall just below the umbilicus, which is visible as a shuttle-shaped echogenic area, it can be basically identified as an umbilical ureteral cyst. Patients can first observe for a period of time to see if there is inflammation in the affected area, and if there is inflammation, they also need to wait until the inflammation subsides before they can undergo surgery. After surgery, they should take beta-lactam antibiotics, aminoglycoside antibiotics or macrolide antibiotics, and quinolone antibiotics for anti-infection treatment.
