2. Urinary retention: Drinking a lot of water but urinating little, resulting in water retention in the body, producing edema.
3. Malnutrition: long-term malnutrition leads to protein loss, causing hypoproteinemia and a decrease in plasma colloid osmotic pressure, thus producing edema.
4. Kidney disease: Kidney disease can lead to reduced excretion of sodium and water, thus causing sodium retention and edema.
5. Premenstrual tension syndrome: 1~2 weeks before the onset of menstruation, edema of the eyelids and lower limbs may occur easily due to the change of endocrine hormones in the body.
