What’s wrong with baby’s sticky, creamy stools?

Sticky, pasty baby stools can be caused by indigestion, gastroenteritis, or by physiological factors.
1. Indigestion: because the baby’s digestive system is not well developed, if eating too much or eating unhygienic and so on, may lead to the baby to appear abdominal pain and bloating, loss of appetite, stool sticky paste and other symptoms.
2. Gastroenteritis: If the baby is infected by inflammation in the intestinal tract leading to gastroenteritis, poor mental state, vomiting, diarrhea, and sticky paste-like stools may occur.
3. Physiological factors: when the baby consumes more protein or fatty foods, the stool may be sticky and creamy. Timely adjustment of dietary structure can be done.
Note that if the baby is breastfed, the mother’s diet should be adjusted to try to eat easily digestible food. If your baby’s stools are sticky and pasty, you should go to the hospital in time to find out the cause of the problem and follow the doctor’s instructions for treatment.
