Pre-operative instructions for outpatient family planning procedures

1.People with medical and surgical comorbidities, drug allergies or other high-risk factors should inform the outpatient doctor, and the outpatient doctor and anesthesiologist will decide on the operation method. 2.For those who book painless abortion, please follow the doctor’s prescription for mifepristone and take it before 22:00 pm the day before the operation at the latest, and abstain from water and food after 22:00 pm (food and water may reflux into the trachea during anesthesia, which may be life-threatening in serious cases). 3.After taking mifepristone, there may be abdominal pain and vaginal bleeding. If there is a lot of bleeding, you should seek emergency medical attention. If there is any tissue discharge, please bring the discharge to the hospital for examination. 4. If you have an appointment for painless surgery in the morning, please come to the hospital at 7:30 on the day of surgery to register your family planning number and arrive at the outpatient operating room at 8:00 on time. 5.No sexual intercourse for 3 days before surgery. 6. Take a shower the night before the operation to keep the vulva clean and dry, change clean and loose underwear on the day of the operation, and bring your own sanitary napkin. 7. Do not wear lipstick or nail polish for painless surgery. If you have painted your nails, please wash off the nail polish on your right thumb (to facilitate intraoperative life monitoring). 8.Family members must accompany the patient for painless surgery. 9.Please take off your valuables, money and glasses (except for highly myopic eyes) and hand them over to your family for safekeeping before the painless surgery. 10.After the painless surgery, the patient must be fully awake before leaving the operating room and be accompanied by family members to go home. A small amount of food can be eaten after waking up. 11. The intrauterine birth control system – Manuel can be placed at the same time as the abortion, which can provide reliable contraception and also effectively prevent ectopic pregnancy, pelvic inflammatory disease, relieve dysmenorrhea and treat excessive menstruation. (1) Pre-operative temperature test over 37.5 degrees Celsius. (2) Those who are in poor physical condition, such as acute inflammation or acidosis caused by severe vomiting in pregnancy, etc., cannot perform the surgery and need to be treated before the surgery is performed. (3) Blood pressure higher than 150/90 mmHg measured twice before surgery. (4) Sexual intercourse within 3 days before surgery. (5) Cough and sputum, nasal congestion and runny nose should be suspended for painless surgery.
