The difference between renal cyst and hydronephrosis can be analyzed by examination results, predisposing causes and clinical symptoms.
1. Examination results: through enhanced CT scan, it can be observed that patients with hydronephrosis have renal pelvis dilatation; renal cysts do not have liquid dark area in the renal pelvis.
2. Triggering causes: most of the hydrocele is triggered by secondary factors, primary hydrocele is uncommon. Hydronephrosis is usually related to kidney stones and tumor factors; renal cysts are mostly primary diseases, and there are no stones and tumor factors.
3. Clinical symptoms: hydronephrosis is usually accompanied by obvious symptoms of the primary disease, such as stone-induced hydronephrosis with acute renal colic; stenosis-induced hydronephrosis, accompanied by urinary difficulties, etc.; hydronephrosis caused by renal cysts is usually no obvious symptoms, and only when the size of the cyst is large, it will cause lumbar pain symptoms.
In addition, no matter whether it is hydronephrosis or renal cyst, it is recommended that the patient be treated as early as possible.
