The determination of impotence is very simple. Usually male patients will have an involuntary erection when they have sex, when they are normally sexually stimulated or have sexual fantasies. If the patient is having sex or is sexually stimulated, the penis still cannot get an erection or the penis is not hard enough after erection to penetrate the female vagina, or the male penis appears weak in the middle of sex, these are all signs of impotence. In addition, patients can also determine impotence through clinical examinations, such as the nocturnal swelling test of the penis and bifunctional ultrasound of the penis, to determine whether impotence exists. Generally, if impotence is diagnosed clearly, different treatments are usually needed according to different causes, and the symptoms can be improved through active treatment.
