Wound healing usually indicates the repair process of the body tissues, such as skin, after the body has been injured by external forces, and wound healing can generally be divided into the coagulation phase, inflammation phase, repair phase, and maturation phase, which are both distinguished from each other and interconnected. 1. coagulation phase: after the formation of a wound, the first reaction of the body is to turn on the coagulation mechanism and carry out its own hemostatic process. The platelets on the wound surface gather and clots appear, which can effectively stop the wound from bleeding; 2. Inflammatory phase: this phase is mainly about destroying bacteria and removing necrotic tissue, laying the foundation for tissue regeneration and repair, the inflammatory phase is about 4-6 days and can be accompanied by redness, swelling, heat and pain performance at the beginning; 3. Repair phase: it is mainly about tissue proliferation and granulation formation. Soon after the inflammation starts, there will be the appearance of new cells, the proliferation and differentiation of fibroblasts, endothelial cells, etc. and the formation of new capillaries, which together constitute granulation tissue, filling and covering the wound and forming a scar. The duration of the proliferation phase varies after different injuries, mostly from 4 to 24 days; 4. Maturation phase: It is mainly the process of scar remodeling. After the proliferative stage, the wound has been initially healed. With the passage of time, the scar tissue and scab of the repair wound are gradually adjusted to repair the tissue to adapt to the physiological function and finally achieve the improvement of the appearance and function of the injured part. The time required for scar remodeling varies during this phase depending on the severity of the wound and can generally last from 21 days to 1 year. Wound healing is a continuous process, during which attention should be paid to ensuring nutrition, preventing infection, keeping the wound clean and dry, and eating less spicy and stimulating foods to avoid affecting wound healing.
