The treatment of hemangioma mainly includes drug, ice, laser, radiation or surgery. 1. Drug treatment: it refers to injecting sclerosing agents (such as chemical drugs, sodium cod liver oil or anhydrous ethanol, etc.) into the inside of hemangioma, so as to make the hemangioma tissues necrotic or hardened to achieve the therapeutic purpose; it is mainly applicable to the treatment of subcutaneous hemangioma. 2. Freezing treatment: using low temperature (mainly referring to liquid nitrogen) to make the hemangioma deformed or necrotic to achieve the therapeutic purpose; it is mainly applicable to hemangiomas with smaller scope. 3. Laser treatment: using the heat generated by specific wavelength of laser to make the blood vessels coagulate or necrotic, mainly applicable to superficial hemangioma. 4. Radiation therapy: using special rays produced by radioactive elements to cause necrosis or disintegration of cells of diseased tissues, but its side effects are relatively large and it is mainly applicable to the symptoms of malignant changes. 5. Surgery: Surgery can be used to remove the diseased tissues completely, but it is more traumatic, and is usually applied to hemangiomas that are difficult to be treated by conventional methods.
