Pay attention to observe the skin around the stoma for redness, swelling and rupture. When the stoma bag is filled with 1/3 excretion, it must be replaced in time. In addition to using disposable stoma bags, 3-4 stoma bags can be prepared for replacement. Dietary care Pay attention to dietary hygiene, avoid eating unclean food, food should not be too hot, too cold, avoid spicy stimulation, so as not to cause diarrhea. The diet should be regular and quantitative, and avoid overeating. Tofu, fish and eggs are good, plus vegetable soup and juice to keep the bowels open. Certain foods, such as onions, garlic, dried beans and carbonated beverages increase flatulence and should be avoided when socializing. Activities Dress loosely and comfortably, cotton and skin-friendly is preferred, fix the stoma bag properly, participate in appropriate activities, and keep your body and mind relaxed. Discharge instructions: The stoma can be dilated every 1-2 weeks for 2-3 months after discharge. If you find stoma narrowing or difficulty in defecation, you should go to hospital for examination and treatment in time.
