(2) Abnormal penile erection: Abnormal penile erection can be seen in maintenance hemodialysis patients with unknown causes. An erection of more than 4-6 hours should result in rapid blood aspiration from the penile corpus cavernosum. For female patients on long-term hemodialysis, on the one hand, renal failure itself can cause hyperprolactinemia, abnormal gonadal function, hyperparathyroidism, zinc deficiency and other dysfunctions, and on the other hand, the bondage and pressure of dialysis make patients more pessimistic and depressed, and they lose hope and pleasure in life and show various sexual dysfunctions, mainly in: (1) painful intercourse: some dialysis women are suffering from (1) Painful sexual intercourse: Some women on dialysis suffer from painful sexual intercourse due to estrogen deficiency, causing dryness and atrophy of the vaginal mucosa.
