What is a common eye disease in pediatric eye screening —- congenital glaucoma?

Primary congenital glaucoma, most often seen in infants and children, may have a family history. The clinical presentation is characterized by three major clinical features: photophobia, tear overflow, and eyelid spasm. The signs are mainly corneal clouding, ocular enlargement, increased intraocular pressure, and enlarged visual cup. In congenital glaucoma, medication alone as the treatment of choice is rarely consistently effective, and surgery is the treatment of choice for this condition. Atrial angle dissection and trabeculotomy are the two main surgical procedures.
