How to Rehabilitate a Broken Foot

A sprained ankle should be braked immediately after the sprain, and cold compresses and elevation of the affected limb should be applied to help recovery. During the period of braking, some toe activities can be carried out to promote the swelling to subside. After the swelling subsides, ankle rehabilitation training can be carried out, including ankle joint mobility, muscle strength around the ankle joint and ankle balance exercise.
1. Ankle joint mobility training: ankle rotation, internal and external turning, foot hooking and other activities can be carried out to increase the mobility of the ankle joint and prevent adhesion.
2. Muscle strength training around the ankle joint: elastic band can be used to do internal and external turning of the ankle joint, hooking the foot, etc., until deep squatting, weight-bearing walking, etc., to strengthen the muscle strength around the ankle joint, promote recovery and prevent re-sprain.
3. Ankle balance exercise: including stepping on steps, standing on one foot, and so on. Strengthen the proprioception to prevent recurrence of sprain.
It is recommended that patients carry out rehabilitation training under the guidance of doctors to avoid organism injury caused by blind operation on their own.
