What is “uterine prolapse”?

Uterine prolapse is commonly known as “collapsed urine bubble” in Shanghai, because of the poor medical condition when you give birth to a child, vaginal laceration is not stitched up, or the vaginal wall is relaxed when you are older, the vaginal wall will be bulging, especially the anterior vaginal wall bulging, or at the same time there is uterine prolapse, local language is called “collapsed urine bubble”. This is called “collapsed urine bubble” in local language. This name is actually very reasonable, because together with the vaginal wall, the bladder and urethra fall out, which are indeed closely related to urination. In the 1960s, there were a large number of patients with uterine prolapse in China, and the state formed a medical team for the treatment of uterine prolapse and urinary leakage. The commonly used surgical procedure was a vaginal wall repair with a femoral hysterectomy. With the implementation of family planning, the number of deliveries has decreased and home deliveries have been abolished, resulting in a significant reduction in birth injuries. However, epidemiological findings show that uterine prolapse and urinary incontinence of varying degrees still account for 25-50% of the population. In recent years, with new ideas such as the holistic theory and hammock theory, uterine prolapse, anterior and posterior vaginal wall bulge and stress urinary incontinence are together referred to as pelvic floor dysfunctional disorders. As the name suggests, these disorders are caused by the loss of sufficient tension in the muscles and fascia supporting the pelvic floor structures causing defects in different areas, resulting in changes in anatomical position and causing corresponding dysfunction, including urinary incontinence, fecal incontinence or constipation, sexual dysfunction, etc. The traditional treatment of transvaginal removal of the uterus is the cure, which is able to solve the superficial problem, the detachment is gone, and the sensation of falling and foreign body is reduced. However, it does not cure the root cause and the recurrence rate is about 30%. Pelvic floor function reconstruction surgery is to reconstruct the function of different parts of the defect, and if necessary, use “patch” to strengthen the defect and restore the function. The results are satisfactory and provide a most advanced and effective treatment for patients suffering from “collapsed urinary blisters”. The treatment of pelvic floor dysfunction includes: 1. Mild. Pelvic floor rehabilitation therapy device, Kagel exercise; 2, moderate to severe uterine prolapse, anterior and posterior vaginal wall bulge: pelvic suspension, total hysterectomy, vaginal wall repair, anterior or posterior pelvic suspension; laparoscopic pelvic floor function reconstruction; 3, stress urinary incontinence: tension-free sling suspension via closed-hole urethra (TVT-O); 4, mixed urinary incontinence: medication, biofeedback-electrical stimulation therapy; 5, chronic pelvic floor dysfunction 5. chronic pelvic pain and constipation: biofeedback-electrical stimulation therapy.
