Autism manifestations

The manifestations of autism include social interaction disorders, language communication disorders, narrow range of interests action behavioral stereotypes, intellectual disabilities, psychoneurological symptoms and so on. The details are as follows: 1. Social interaction disorder: unable to establish normal interpersonal communication with others, no eye-to-eye contact, poor expression, lack of expression or gesture looking forward to hugging and caressing by parents and others, or refusing hugging and caressing by parents. Even if they are forced to play with their peers, they will not take the initiative to contact others. 2. Language communication disorders: language development lags behind that of children of the same age, for example, at the age of two or three, they cannot say meaningful words and the simplest sentences, and at the age of four or five, they can say words and then simple sentences, but they cannot use personal pronouns such as “you”, “I”, “he”, and so on. 3. Narrow range of interests and stereotyped behavior: they are not interested in the activities, games, and toys that normal children are enthusiastic about, and prefer to play with non-toy objects, such as a bottle cap, or a piece of scrap wire, etc. Some patients also have repetitive and stereotyped clapping. Some of the patients also repeat the stereotyped clapping, chest pounding, circling, licking the wall, stomping and other actions. 4. Intellectual disability: 75% to 80% of the patients have different degrees of mental retardation. 5. Psychoneurological symptoms: some patients have attention deficit and hyperactivity symptoms. For children with autism, it is recommended that family members accompany the children to the hospital for a comprehensive standardized examination and standardized treatment, so as to avoid delaying the condition, and good training and education can help improve the prognosis.
