Elderly anal flow feces refers to fecal incontinence, which may be caused by long-term bedridden, or rectal prolapse, Alzheimer’s disease and other diseases. 1. Long-term bedridden: with age, the elderly anal sphincter will naturally relax, if long-term bedridden, lack of exercise, easy to make feces gathered in the rectum, and then easy to cause fecal incontinence. 2. Rectal prolapse: the etiology of this disease is not clear for the time being, but there are two theories, namely, sliding hernia theory and intussusception theory, which may be related to the sustained increase in intra-abdominal pressure, pelvic floor muscle weakness and other reasons. Rectal prolapse occurs in middle-aged and old-aged people, and patients may suffer from symptoms such as fecal incontinence, constipation and anal swelling. 3. Alzheimer’s Disease: This disease occurs as a result of a combination of genetic, lifestyle and environmental factors, and may be related to heredity, aging, previous head trauma, chronic diseases, low education level and other factors. Usually, patients with moderate Alzheimer’s disease will exhibit fecal incontinence behavior, as well as mental abnormalities and memory loss. When an elderly person experiences fecal discharge from the anus, he or she needs to go to the hospital in a timely manner in order to identify the specific cause of the problem and provide appropriate treatment to avoid aggravation of the condition.
