Does severe pneumonia count as a major illness?

Although severe pneumonia is a serious disease, it does not belong to the major diseases stipulated by the CBI.

People with severe pneumonia often suffer from circulatory failure such as respiratory failure, low blood pressure, shock, etc. They may show symptoms such as depression, drowsiness, irritability, drop in blood pressure, cold limbs, etc. In severe cases, they may suffer from impaired consciousness, convulsions, etc. In addition, there may be involvement of other organs, resulting in life-threatening multiple organ failure. In addition, there can be other organ involvement, leading to multi-organ failure, life-threatening, so it is a more serious disease.

However, severe pneumonia is not one of the major diseases stipulated by the CBI, such as malignant tumor, acute myocardial infarction, sequelae of cerebral hemorrhage, deep coma, major organ transplantation or hematopoietic stem cell transplantation, and so on.

People with severe pneumonia need to consult a doctor in a timely manner and receive treatment under the guidance of a professional doctor.
