Traditional Chinese medicine diagnosis and treatment of asthma with lung qi deficiency and depletion

The TCM treatment for asthma with lung qi depletion is to replenish the lungs and benefit the qi, with the use of Sheng Wei San and Lung Replenishing Soup. Clinical manifestations of this syndrome are shortness of breath (shortness of breath), low voice; weak cough, sputum spitting, spontaneous sweating (involuntary sweating during the day, aggravated by sweating with a little movement), fear of wind, etc. The pathogenesis of the disease is deficiency of lung qi, and qi is not in charge. Sheng Wei San is composed of ginseng, maitong and schizandra; Lung Tonifying Tang is composed of ginseng, astragalus, mulberry white peel and aster. The former formula benefits qi and nourishes yin, while the latter formula emphasizes tonifying the lung and benefiting the kidney. If the cough is rebellious and the cough sputum is thin, add Fenghuangdonghua, Suzi, etc.; if the cough sputum is weak in Yin, add Sha Shen, Yuzhu, Lily, etc.; if the cough sputum is thick and viscous, add Chuan Beimu, Bai Bu, etc.; if the cough sputum is weak in kidney, and if the cough is gasping when it moves, add Cornu Cervus Pantotrichum, Walnut Pantotrichum, Mealybugs, and if there is deficiency of both lungs and spleen, and if the middle qi is sinking in the middle qi (deficiency of the qi in spleen and stomach, which appears in the fall of the viscera and organs, etc), then the treatment is combined with the addition of tonifying the lungs and tonifying the Qi. If there is any discomfort, it is recommended to consult a hospital in a timely manner, under the guidance of a professional physician, so as not to delay the condition.
