Whether esophageal cancer is early stage is not determined by time, but by whether the tumor has metastasized and manifested symptoms. Usually, the staging of esophageal cancer is based on the depth of tumor infiltration and whether it has metastasized to distant places. If the lesion is only limited to the superficial mucous layer and submucosa and there is no lymph node metastasis, it is early esophageal cancer; if the cancer cells have already involved the whole esophagus and penetrated the esophageal wall to invade the neighboring organs, then it is intermediate and advanced esophageal cancer. Symptoms of esophageal cancer are related to the development of the disease. Early esophageal cancer has no obvious symptoms, and there may be choking sensation when eating; when it reaches middle or late stage, it manifests as progressive dysphagia, chest pain, inability to eat or drink, and coughing up blood and sputum when it infiltrates into the lungs. It is suggested that esophageal cancer patients should relax their mood, avoid anxiety, tension and other bad emotions, keep regular work and rest, and increase sports according to their own conditions. If there are other discomforts during the treatment, they should inform the doctor in time to avoid adverse effects.
