Is there a difference between Charcot and Charcot Ball?

There is no difference between Xia Ku Cao and Xia Ku Qiu, both refer to the same drug, just called differently.
Xia Ku Cao is a kind of Chinese medicine, also called Xia Ku Qiu, its flavor is pungent, bitter, cold, and belongs to the liver and gallbladder meridian. Its effects are clearing the liver and diarrhea, brightening the eyes, dispersing knots and eliminating swelling. It can be used to treat red, swollen and painful eyes, night pain in the eyeballs, headache and dizziness, scrofula (mainly refers to tuberculosis of the lymph nodes in the neck), gall tumors (the equivalent of thyroid tumors), and breast distension and pain.
The adverse reactions and contraindications of the drug are not clear. It is cold in nature, so it should be used with caution for people with weak spleen and stomach. Avoid cold, spicy and greasy food during the period of taking the medicine. Chinese medicine should be used under the guidance of a professional Chinese medicine practitioner, and should not be used blindly on its own, so as not to aggravate the condition or cause adverse reactions.
