There are many reasons why a nose does not breathe, commonly caused by chronic rhinitis, nasal polyps, nasal septum deviation and other diseases leading to nasal blockage.
1. Chronic simple rhinitis: chronic rhinitis can lead to edema, congestion and increased secretion of glands in the nasal mucosa, which often manifests as persistent or alternating nasal blockage. Especially when lying on the side, the lower side of the nasal cavity is blocked, and when turning to the other side, the nasal congestion appears in the other side of the nasal cavity.
2. Nasal polyps: benign swelling formed when the proliferated mucosa protrudes into the nasal cavity from the nasal passage, mostly caused by chronic inflammation of unilateral nasal sinus or metamorphosis, resulting in extreme edema of the nasal mucosa, manifested as unilateral nasal congestion, accompanied by an increase in nasal secretion, facial pain and other symptoms.
3. Nasal septum deviation: under normal circumstances, the human nasal septum is in the middle part of the nose, if there is nasal septum deviation, one side of the nasal cavity can be narrowed, gas through the difficulty, may be accompanied by nosebleed, headache and other symptoms.
If you have one nose with no gas passage, you should go to the hospital in time and be treated under the doctor’s guidance.
