What are the initial symptoms of esophageal cancer

Esophageal cancer, i.e. cancer of the esophagus, may present the symptom of discomfort in swallowing at the early stage of the disease, but the symptom is not specific and often not obvious. Esophageal cancer itself is a kind of malignant tumor with relatively hidden onset, and most of the patients do not have obvious symptoms at the early stage of onset, so it is easy to be confused with some other common esophageal diseases. Symptoms of esophageal cancer patients in the early stage of the disease mainly include discomfort in swallowing, which means that when patients swallow some rough and hard food, they will have some uncomfortable feelings, such as friction-like pain, burning sensation behind the sternum, choking sensation and so on, and this kind of uncomfortable sensation is sometimes relatively mild and sometimes more serious. As the symptoms of esophageal cancer in the early stage are not typical and obvious, they are easily neglected. Many patients have been diagnosed at advanced stage. Therefore, if individuals have any discomfort, they should consult the doctor in time to find out the cause of the disease.
