Bleeding rectal polyps are very common in clinical practice and are the most common cause of lower gastrointestinal bleeding. Colon polyps can be found through colonoscopy and bleeding polyps can also be seen. This is a very simple way to treat both the colon polyp and the bleeding by removing the rectal polyp. For small polyps, they can be burned off directly by ionization. For slightly larger polyps, especially those with tips, complete hemostasis can be achieved by cutting off the top polyp at the root of the polyp, tethered with a nylon cord, and also removing the colon polyp. For polyps that are very wide at the base or even relatively large, they can be peeled out directly by colonic mucosal dissection. After stripping, a very large wound is left, which should be sutured up with metal clips and hemostatic clips under endoscopy to achieve a very good treatment effect. So currently, for colon polyps, they can be treated by endoscopic minimally invasive way, usually polyps of 3-4cm can be done, and any larger ones need to be treated by surgery.
