Nausea is the desire to vomit, nausea after a nap may be caused by chronic pharyngitis, dietary factors, cervical spondylosis and other reasons.
1. Chronic pharyngitis: diffuse chronic inflammation of the mucous membrane of the pharynx, submucosa and lymphatic tissue. It may be caused by infections, excessive alcohol consumption, and so on. When waking up from sleep due to aggravated breathing, cold air can stimulate the pharynx, resulting in nausea, vomiting and other symptoms.
2. Dietary factors: it may be due to overeating before the nap, the gastrointestinal peristalsis slows down after sleeping, after waking up, most of the food may remain in the stomach, causing gastric discomfort, which may appear nausea after the nap.
3. Cervical spondylosis: mainly due to cervical degeneration, strain injury and other causes, resulting in cervical soft tissues and vertebral body dynamic, static force balance imbalance, resulting in intervertebral disc herniation. When the vertebral artery is compressed, intracranial pressure may increase, resulting in nausea, vomiting, tinnitus, hearing loss and other symptoms.
Nausea and vomiting after a nap may also be caused by other reasons, it is recommended that patients go to the hospital in a timely manner, follow the doctor’s instructions for treatment, to avoid delaying the condition.
