Should I operate on a teratoma of 2 centimeters?

A teratoma of two centimeters usually requires surgery. Teratomas are tumors derived from germ cells and are generally divided into mature teratomas and immature teratomas. Early teratomas have no obvious clinical symptoms and are mostly found by chance during physical examination. Once teratoma is detected, surgery is usually needed to treat it, and after the surgery, pathological tests are needed to clarify the benign or malignant nature of the teratoma. Mature teratomas are benign tumors and generally do not require special treatment after surgery. Immature teratoma is poorly differentiated, with no or little formed tissues, unclear structure, higher degree of malignancy, and preferred in children and adolescents, and further chemotherapy and radiotherapy are needed after surgery. If patients find teratoma, it is recommended to go to regular hospitals to avoid delay.
