Blood types O and B give birth to a child with blood type B or O. Blood types O and B are common types in the ABO blood group system, as well as A and AB. Blood types are influenced by genetic factors. Blood types A and B are red blood cells that contain both the A and B antigens; type AB has both antigens; type O has neither the A nor the B antigen. B and O blood types, both of which do not have antigen A, give birth to a child with blood type B or O. There will not be an A blood type as well as an AB blood type.
