How long between the first and second shots of chickenpox

The interval and dose of varicella vaccination depends on the age of the vaccine recipient. The most suitable age for varicella vaccination is 12-24 months of age. 1 dose (0.5 ml) is sufficient for children aged 2-12 years, and there is no such thing as an interval; whereas children, adolescents and adults aged 13 years and older need 2 doses (i.e., 2 vaccinations), with an interval of 6-10 weeks. Varicella vaccine may have certain effects on the body if 2 doses are given less than 6-10 weeks apart, especially for children, and may cause fever and other symptoms in children, requiring prompt medical attention and symptomatic antiviral treatment, etc. In addition, when receiving varicella vaccine, it should be noted that when receiving the vaccine at the same time with other live attenuated or inactivated vaccines, the vaccine should be given at different sites and should not be mixed in the syringe; varicella vaccine should not be given at the same time as measles vaccine, and the interval between the two vaccinations should be at least 1 month; patients with acute severe febrile diseases should postpone the vaccination; people with systemic allergy to neomycin, people with white blood cell count less than 1200/m3 and pregnant women should not be vaccinated. and pregnant women should not be vaccinated.
