What is the three-month review of total hysterectomy

After 3 months of total uterine excision, the review items include blood routine, liver and kidney function, gynecological examination, gynecological ultrasound, tumor markers and so on.

1. Blood routine, liver and kidney function: these are routine checkups to reflect the patient’s general physical condition.

2. Gynecological examination: 3 months after the removal of the uterus, gynecological examination is needed to observe the healing of the vaginal stump wound, whether there is any abnormal bleeding, abnormal secretion and so on.

3. Gynecological ultrasound: if the total hysterectomy with retention of adnexa is performed, gynecological ultrasound should be perfected to observe the specific conditions of ovaries and fallopian tubes.

4. Tumor markers: If the uterus or ovaries are removed because of tumor, tumor markers can be reexamined to detect the treatment effect and recurrence of tumor.

In clinical practice, it is recommended to follow the doctor’s instruction for the specific review items after total hysterectomy.
