Infection with H. pylori does not necessarily require a gastroscopy. It is usually a common cause of chronic gastritis and gastric ulcers because H. pylori is found mainly in the stomach and duodenum of the body. If there are no specific symptoms, gastroscopy is usually not necessary. If a patient is infected with H. pylori, there may be changes in the condition of the stomach, and gastroscopy can clarify the condition of the patient’s stomach if accompanied by symptoms. If a patient is infected with H. pylori and has symptoms such as stomach pain, anti-infection treatment is usually needed. Under normal circumstances, treatment can be reviewed after 7 to 14 days, if the test results are negative, it indicates that it is effective and need to be reviewed regularly. If it remains positive, the treatment needs to be adjusted accordingly. Patients who are infected with H. pylori are advised to seek timely medical treatment to avoid delays.
