Is it good for oral health to change toothpaste regularly?

In daily life, many people always use the same kind of toothpaste for years, which is not good for oral health. Toothpaste is divided into two categories: general type and healing type (i.e. medicated toothpaste). The main ingredients of ordinary toothpaste are rubbing agent, descaling agent, foam agent, synthesis agent, moisturizing agent, flavoring agent, preservative, flavor, etc., while the curative toothpaste has the functions of mechanical rubbing, decontamination and removing part of bad breath of ordinary toothpaste, and also can inhibit the growth of various pathogenic and non-pathogenic bacteria in the oral cavity, including the strongest cariogenic Streptococcus pyogenes, non-cariogenic Staphylococcus and part of the gum bleeding caused by anaerobic bacteria and partly anaerobic bacteria. However, the curative toothpaste inhibits some non-pathogenic bacteria as well as pathogenic bacteria, which disrupts the ecological balance of bacteria in the oral cavity and leads to dysbiosis. Long-term use of the same type of toothpaste will also cause certain harmful oral pathogens to develop resistance and drug resistance, making toothpaste lose the role of sterilization and dental protection. Therefore, in order to protect oral health hygiene, the type of toothpaste should be changed frequently, the replacement time to a month is appropriate, ordinary and curative toothpaste should be cross-use.
