Septic infections are more common in clinical practice and can form many purulent exudates, some of which are foul smelling. The reason why pus forms a foul odor is mainly because in septic infection lesions, due to specific bacteria, such as Escherichia coli and Escherichia coli, these bacilli tend to cause tissue suppuration, exudation, and produce some odorous conditions. In addition some septic lesions are exposed to more bacteria or germs, which will ferment sufficiently with the surrounding local necrotic tissues under the condition of oxygen combined with oxidation, and will produce a gas with an odor. The best treatment is to disinfect the wound or incision with iodophor or hydrogen peroxide, and at the same time, sensitive antibiotics should be given, which is the most effective way to deal with purulent exudate or smelly pus.
