How long between hepatitis B vaccines

Patients who receive their first hepatitis B vaccination should receive a second injection one month after the injection, followed by a third injection at the six-month mark. When three or more doses of hepatitis B vaccine are administered, the body is usually stimulated to produce hepatitis B surface antibodies, and there is an autoimmune protection mechanism, and the patient is immune to chronic viral hepatitis B. However, some patients may not develop hepatitis B surface antibodies due to autoimmune reasons, so patients need to continue to receive a booster dose of hepatitis B vaccine until antibodies are produced. In adults, the hepatitis B surface antibody will be depleted 10 years after the vaccination. In this case, the patient needs to have a blood test for hepatitis B triple system after the time has passed to see if the patient is positive for hepatitis B surface antibodies and if the titer is greater than 10 mIU/mL. If the titer is less than 10mIU/mL or the hepatitis B surface antibody is negative, you should actively consider continuing the hepatitis B vaccination and continue to review the vaccination one month after the injection. In addition, after the hepatitis B vaccination, patients should take more rest and refrain from drinking alcohol for one month.
