What’s going on when you feel your abdomen jumping around?

Feeling the abdomen beating may be physiological phenomenon such as arterial pulsation, or it may be pathological phenomenon such as gastrointestinal dysfunction, rectal cancer and so on.
1. Physiological factors: the main source of blood and oxygen supply for human abdominal organs and tissues is the abdominal aorta, whose blood flow is relatively large, so the amplitude of beating will be more obvious, and this beating is synchronized with the beating of the heart, so the phenomenon of abdominal beating can occur.
2. Pathologic factors:
(1) Gastrointestinal dysfunction: the small intestine can peristalsis 3~5 times per minute, but when gastrointestinal dysfunction occurs, the small intestine can contract faster, up to 7~8 times per minute, and the phenomenon of abdominal throbbing can occur at this time.
(2) Rectal cancer: If suffering from rectal cancer, it will cause ulcerative damage to the surrounding tissues and blood exudation, which will lead to abdominal throbbing and may be accompanied by bloody stools, abdominal pain and other symptoms.
Feeling jumping in the abdomen may also be caused by other reasons. If the above symptoms still occur even if physiological factors are ruled out, it is recommended to consult a doctor in time to clarify the cause of the disease and target treatment under the guidance of the doctor, and do not take medication on your own in order to avoid delaying the condition.
