Constant pain in the stomach should be alert to diseases such as acute gastroenteritis, acute cholecystitis and acute appendicitis.
1. Acute gastroenteritis: usually patients have burning pain in the upper abdomen, accompanied by nausea, vomiting, diarrhea, fever and other symptoms, in severe cases, a large amount of dehydration may lead to shock.
2. Acute cholecystitis: patients mainly present with paroxysmal colic pain, which may be accompanied by fever, nausea, vomiting and other symptoms.
3. Acute appendicitis: In most patients, the abdominal pain begins in the upper abdomen or around the umbilicus, and after a few hours, the pain shifts to the appendix, i.e., the lower right abdomen, where it intensifies. If accompanied by fever, peritonitis and perforation may occur.
There are many reasons for persistent stomach pain, and patients are advised to seek timely medical examination and symptomatic treatment after identifying the cause, so as not to miss the condition.
