Mole is a kind of limited lesion on the skin, and children with nevus need to undergo physical examination, histopathological examination and other examinations.
1. Physical examination: children with moles need to go to the hospital for physical examination, observing the location, size, color, edge of the mole, whether there is any local elevation, whether the surface of the mole is smooth, whether there is any hair and so on.
2. Pathological and histological examination: in order to further clarify the nature of the lesion, it is necessary to take a part of the tissue from the lesion, make a slice and put it under the microscope to observe whether it is malignant or not.
3. Other examinations: Wood lamp examination, Wood lamp is a kind of filtered ultraviolet lamp, can observe the fluorescence type of skin lesions. Dermoscopy can examine the pigmentation and subtle changes in the skin from the epidermis to inside and outside the dermis, and can be used for differential diagnosis of moles.
If a child has a mole, parents are advised to take the child to the hospital for a clear diagnosis and follow the doctor’s instructions for symptomatic treatment.
