Anemia belongs to the categories of “blood deficiency”, “dizziness” and “fatigue” in Chinese medicine. Anemia can be treated by Chinese medicine practitioners or Western medicine practitioners. Chinese medicine practitioners mainly use traditional Chinese medicines to diagnose and treat anemia, while Western medicine practitioners should find out what kind of anemia it is and then treat it. 1. Chinese medicine treatment (1) Weakness of the spleen and stomach: manifested by pale claws and nails, pale face, accompanied by fatigue (mental exhaustion, physical weakness), dullness (lack of appetite, reduced food intake), and loose stools (thin and unshaped feces); treat with Six Gentlemen’s Towers combined with Angelica Supplementing Blood Soup with additions and subtractions. (4) Spleen and kidney yang deficiency: manifested as facial color 晄white, pale lips, claws and nails, mental depression, fear of cold and cold limbs, treated with Right Angelica Pill. 2. Western medical treatment: divided into two categories: “symptomatic” and “causative”. Symptomatic treatment is to reduce the fatal effect of severe hematopoiesis on the patient, and causative treatment should find out which kind of anemia, such as iron-deficiency anemia, should be supplemented with iron supplements, such as iron dextrose, etc., and megaloblastic anemia should be supplemented with folic acid and vitamin B12, etc. If patients have manifestations of anemia, they should be treated with Dextrose Pills. Patients with anemia should consult the doctor in time to identify the cause of the disease and standardize the treatment. Acupuncture and tuina are also available if needed.
