What to do if your child’s incisors are protruding out

Children with protruding incisors need early interceptive orthodontic treatment, if the protrusion is still present after early orthodontic treatment, conventional orthodontic treatment is needed in the later stage.
1. Early interceptive orthodontic treatment. Interceptive orthodontic treatment is the orthodontic treatment of malocclusion during the period of milk teeth and replacement teeth, protruding incisors may be caused by bad oral habits such as tongue spitting, biting or mouth breathing, or it may be caused by the presence of extra teeth in the mouth.
Depending on the situation, it is necessary to remove bad oral habits, wear lip gear, palatal spurs and other orthodontic devices, or use functional orthodontic muscle agitators to improve the shape of the maxillary dental arch.
2. Conventional orthodontic treatment. Applicable to children around 12 years old after the completion of the replacement period, can consider using fixed orthodontic treatment, the use of arch wire and bracket mechanical force to improve the occlusal relationship.
It is recommended that children with protruding incisors should consult a doctor in time to avoid malocclusion from developing into bony deformity.
