Scars, also known as keloid scars, can be categorized into conventional keloid scars, hyperplastic keloid scars, keloid scars, and atrophic keloid scars.
1. Conventional scar: normal repair of skin tissue after various traumas, generally without functional impairment, with the prolongation of time, it can gradually fade to stability.
2. Hyperplastic scar: also known as hypertrophic scar, occurs after skin trauma, the repaired scar tissue is significantly higher than the surrounding normal skin tissue, generally does not exceed the range of skin trauma.
3. Keloid: manifested by keloid nodules significantly higher than the surrounding normal skin tissue, and the scope of the lesion generally exceeds the original scope of trauma, which may be accompanied by pain or itching symptoms.
4. Atrophic keloid: the trauma is deeper, manifested as localized skin depression.
