How long do you cook lentils before they’re not toxic?

The Chinese Pharmacopoeia records that white lentils are non-toxic, and there is no such thing as “how long to cook white lentils before they become non-toxic”.
White lentils are slightly warm, sweet, non-toxic, belonging to the spleen, stomach meridian, with the spleen and dampness, and the basic effect of summer heat, can be used to treat the deficiency of the spleen and dampness of less loose food (feces sparse and not shaped), the deficiency of the spleen and dampness of the leucorrhoea, summer dampness and diarrhea, and so on. It is often combined with Poria and Atractylodis Macrocephalae to treat the loose stools of spleen deficiency and dampness stagnation.
White lentils are usually soaked for about 15 minutes and then decocted for 30 minutes. The use of raw white lentils is preferred to reduce dampness and eliminate summer heat; the use of fried white lentils is preferred to strengthen the spleen and stop diarrhea. In addition, white lentils should not be consumed in large quantities to avoid congestion of Qi and injury to the spleen. The adverse effects and contraindications of taking white lentils are not known.
