Patients need to be reviewed regularly, and if necessary, they can be removed to prevent cancer. The occurrence of intestinal polyps is related to the patient’s usual daily habits, family genetics, inflammation and other conditions. The nature of intestinal polyps needs to be determined by pathological biopsy. If the size of the intestinal polyp is around 1cm, the patient may not have obvious symptoms. Patients need to be reviewed regularly to monitor the development of intestinal polyps. When the intestinal polyp is larger than 2cm, the chance of cancer becomes greater and the patient may experience abdominal pain, blood in the stool, diarrhea and other symptoms. Generally, intestinal polyps will be detected through colonoscopy. Once intestinal polyps are detected, it is still recommended to seek medical treatment in time for resection in order to prevent cancerous changes.
