What’s wrong with getting up and lying down with no dizziness?

Patients with postural hypotension mainly show high blood pressure when lying down, and sudden standing up may cause a transient drop in blood pressure, which may cause cerebral hypoperfusion if the blood pressure drops too fast, and may cause cerebral hypoperfusion, and serious cerebral hypoperfusion may cause cerebral infarction. Patients with inadequate cerebral blood supply include inadequate blood supply to the vertebrobasilar system and the internal carotid artery system. Patients with inadequate blood supply to the vertebrobasilar system mainly show signs and symptoms of cerebellar brainstem ischemia and hypoxia, and patients can experience dizziness, nausea, vomiting, as well as balance disorders and ataxia. Postural hypotension is a systemic autonomic dysfunction disorder. Patients may also experience loss or weakening of light reflex, nausea, vomiting, abdominal distention, constipation, diarrhea, etc. Some patients may experience dryness of nose, eyes and mouth, as well as abnormalities of urine and stool, which are mainly treated symptomatically with oral glutamate. In case of severe hypovolemia, the patient can also be treated with volume expansion, and at the same time, the patient should be instructed to move as slowly as possible when standing up from a sitting position.
