Measurement of pupil height

Pupil height is measured clinically by using a pupil gauge, with the steps of adjusting the frame, correcting the seating position, measuring, and changing the eyes, etc. Pupil height is the vertical distance from the visual axis of the eye through the lens to the lowest point of the lower lateral margin of the frame.
Pupil height is the short name for the height of the center of the pupil, which refers to the vertical distance from the visual axis of the eye through the lens to the lowest point of the lower inner edge of the frame. Before measuring the pupil height, the person being examined must adjust the frame he/she is wearing until it is comfortable. The person taking the measurement sits face-to-face at a distance of about 40 centimeters from the person being measured, and the line of sight between the two persons must be maintained at the same height.
Measure the left eye with the right eye, the left eye of the person being measured looks at the right eye of the measurer, the measurer uses the right hand to take the pupil gauge to align the zero position to the center of the pupil, and reads the value on the gauge at the lowest point of the bottom of the lower edge of the groove of the frame, that is, the pupil height of the left eye. The pupil height of the right eye is then measured in the same way.
It is recommended that patients who need to measure the pupil height should consult a regular hospital and have it measured accurately under the guidance of a doctor.
