What are inflammatory pulmonary nodules

Inflammatory lung nodules are lung nodules caused by inflammation in the lungs and require prompt anti-infective treatment. If inflammatory lung nodules are present on the report when lung imaging is performed, they are usually due to pneumonia. Inflammatory reactions can occur when the lungs are infected by bacteria or fungi. Inflammation can affect the airways and bronchioles of the lungs as well as the lung tissue, resulting in mucosal breakdown and granulomas, which can progressively develop into inflammatory lung nodules. Inflammatory lung nodules are usually treated for inflammation, i.e., anti-infective treatment for bacterial or fungal infections, using broad-spectrum antibiotics such as penicillin or antifungals such as fluconazole. However, the use of specific drugs should be determined according to the results of drug sensitivity tests or sputum cultures. It is recommended to seek medical advice and treatment under the guidance of a doctor.
